Reconstruction: Elevating the New Majority through Intersectional Strategies
The past 4 months has upended every aspect of our lives. It has also uncovered the historic and systemic inequalities that exist in a nation that touts itself as free and fair. This represents a systemic risk to black communities and employment. Meanwhile, there is an emerging Renaissance of black investors, funds and initiatives that seek to advance the wealth creation in black communities.
Since our inception, we at 1863 Ventures have been unwavering in our commitment to building wealth in Black communities. Through our programs and investments, we have been fortunate to be part of a tapestry representing thousands of founders and hundreds of millions in revenue across many sectors and geographies.
In an effort to elevate the voices of those equally committed to the New Majority, we are organizing a town hall to explore and discuss the state of Black entrepreneurship and the broader New Majority. As we organize a collective of ideas and voices, it gives us great pleasure to invite you to our town hall.
Why Participate?
- Greater clarity on the financial returns achievable by supporting New Majority Entrepreneurs.
- Formalized collaboration between funders, founders and ecosystem builders.
- Consensus amongst funders and ecosystem builders as to what structural changes must take place for New Majority entrepreneurs to survive and thrive.
