[Webcast] COVID-19 Expert Update by Professor Peter Doherty

As COVID-19 continues to spread rapidly throughout the world, how do we separate fact from fiction when it comes to ensuring public health and safety?

On January 30, the World Health Organization declared a global health emergency on the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). In the months following, we have seen a rise in public concern, with heightened fears - and some confusion - around the health and economic impacts of this disease worldwide. Asia Society Australia in partnership with Asia Society Hong Kong warmly invite you to join Nobel Prize winner and infection and immunity expert Professor Peter Doherty for a public update as he unpacks what a staged response looks like short and long term, the lessons learned from early cases of the pandemic in the region, and how international collaboration is working to find solutions to this global crisis.

This program in part of the Asia Society Hong Kong’s Coronavirus Update Series, bringing you the latest facts and evidence-based findings on the epidemic outbreak from on-the-ground public health experts and internationally renowned specialists. You can access previous episodes in this series here
