Branded d.io Event Links, Now Across the Entire Guest Experience

  • Announcement

Diobox events now use a single custom d.io link across every guest-facing page, with new controls for where that link leads and a dedicated Portal tab for designing the guest experience.

This release extends the event's custom link, previously limited to the Event Web Page, to the Event Portal, forms and guest confirmation pages. It also introduces Event Link Settings and moves the Event Portal into its own section of the event navigation.

One Custom Link for the Entire Event

Organizers can now select a single custom link for each event on Diobox's one-letter domain, such as d.io/gala. That link now serves as the base for:

  • The Event Web Page, when published
  • The Event Portal
  • All forms
  • All guest confirmation pages

Previously, only the Event Web Page used the event's custom link, while other pages used generic, ID-based links. Every link generated within an event now carries the event's own name, so each link shared with guests is consistently branded.

New Event Link Settings

Event Link Settings is a new central place to manage the event's link. It is available from the event Dashboard, the Web Page tab, the Portal tab and Event Settings.

  • Custom link – set or change the event's custom link, such as d.io/gala.
  • Destination – choose where the Event Link takes guests:
    • Event Portal
    • A specific form
    • Web Page
    • Disabled, when the Event Link isn't needed

Organizers can direct guests to the page that best fits each stage of their event, such as a single registration form, the full Event Portal or the Web Page, and update the destination at any time without changing the link they have shared.

A Redesigned Portal Tab

The Event Portal now has its own Portal tab in the main event navigation. The tab has been redesigned and its settings reorganized into clear sections: Overview, Design, Guest Actions, Guest Confirmations and Automated Emails.

Organizers can now preview every page and variation of the Event Portal, including the form selection page, guest confirmation page and each form type, in both desktop and mobile views before sharing it with guests.

Fully Backwards Compatible

All previously shared links, including links in sent emails, embedded forms and printed QR codes, continue to work and automatically forward to the new branded links. No action is required.

Availability

The redesigned Portal tab and Event Link Settings are available to all Diobox customers. Custom Event Links are available on all paid plans.

Built Around the Organizer's Brand

With this release, event organizers can deliver a fully branded experience end to end: custom-designed event pages, a guest portal and forms that reflect their identity, and short, memorable event links on the d.io domain.

Every page, form and link now centers on the organizer's brand, not Diobox's.
